The alpaca has been a domesticated animal for over 4,000 years. As such, it requires shepherds and the shearing process to survive. All our suppliers follow the protocol of “The Technical Standard for Shearing and Handling of Alpaca Fiber Fleece”, approved by the Peruvian Ministry of Production (INACAL).
